It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating the machine; lifting, carrying and placing materials; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the machine; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

RIIMPO320F – Conduct civil construction excavator operations

This course teaches the skills and knowledge required to operate excavator operations to lift carry and place materials.

Pre-requisites

Be able to read and write basic English (Workplace Health and Safety requirement)
Pass a language, literacy & numeracy assessment (LLN)
Minimum 18 years of age (Workplace Health and Safety requirement)
Provide photo identification

The course alone does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisted by someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and Unload Plant or equivalent.
