HLTAID001 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a critical first aid skill that can save lives and dramatically affect a person’s chance of surviving a medical emergency. Provide Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) covering AED is a popular course and is offered both individually and as part of our Provide first aid course (HLTAID003).
Provide Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) covering AED teaches participants all the skills and knowledge needed to administer CPR on adults, children, and infants and how and when to use a defibrillation machine if required.
Elements in this unit are:
1. Respond to an emergency situation
2. Perform CPR procedures
3. Communicate details of the incident
