The S123 Mining Supervisor Training Course is a requirement for mining supervisors working in the Queensland mining industry.
S123 Supervisors Course (also referred to as Supervisor Course G1, G8, G9)
This course fulfils the requirements as stipulated by the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 (QLD) and the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 (QLD) for those who hold the role of a supervisor or a site safety and health representative.
This course covers communicating information, applying risk management processes and conducting safety and health investigations. On successful completion of the course students will hold the necessary skills and knowledge to perform in the position of a supervisor within the mining industry.
The Supervisor course covers 3 nationally recognised units of competency;
G1 – RIIRIS301D – Apply Risk Management Processes
G8 – RIIWHS301D – Conduct safety and Health Investigations
G9 – RIICOM301D – Communicate Information
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, you must possess basic literacy and numeracy skills. You may be required to complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) indicator prior to enrolling.
