March this year, Civil Safety together with Protech and Roadtek focused on a women in construction program.
Funded through CSQ, this program was designed to entice women to enter into the civil construction industry. Throughout the program the ladies were exposed to different environments in the industry from plant and machinery to spotting and traffic awareness.
This program has a great outcome of ladies who are having work experience throughout the course on a live civil construction site for 4 weeks. This gives the employer and the trainee a great amount of time to decide if this is the path that they wish to pursue.
Successful participants were offered positions with Roadtek with some securing traineeships in various fields.
Civil Safety is proud to announce that this program will be once again running in 2020 with our partners.
