VOC-NSC - Conduct non-slewing crane operations - VOC
The Verification of Competency (VOC) course for non-slew crane operations is a nationally recognised method of assessment that can be used to demonstrate a person’s ability to operate equipment and/or undertake the responsibilities of the non-slew crane operator.
Course OverviewThis Verification of Competency (VOC) will verify your skills in operate non-slew crane and the competent operation of a certain make and model of machinery.
Entry RequirementsA Verification of Competency is only for operators who already hold a licence or competency for operate non-slew cranes. Please note: You will be required to provide acopy of this when completing the online enrolment. Also you will need to have access to machinery and a competent operator to complete the VOC Practical evidence report. If you do not meet the above requirements, contact Civil Safety to complete a full course or a quote for a VOC Practical assessment.

How to Enrol
Step 1 - Complete the online enrolment form (during the enrolment process you will be required to upload 1 form of identification and also your previous statement of attainment to verify you hold current competence in the VOC course you are seeking verification).
Step 2 - You will receive information to access to Civil Safety’s learner portal to complete a VOC Knowledge Check and to access the VOC demonstration checklist link for you to provide to your chosen competent person to complete (Note: You will receive a copy of the completed demonstration to your email address, for you to upload to the portal).
Step 3 - You will receive your verification of competency award with the unit and machinery or demonstrated level details that includes a QR verification for sites and employers to instantly verify your VOC.
VOC DeliveryOnline Practical Demonstration Evidence
AssessmentAssessment is based on competency (the ability to demonstrate specific skills), depending on delivery, may be undertaken through a combination of observation and discussion, and written.
CertificationA nationally verifiable VOC transcript will be issued by Civil Safety upon successful completion of VOC requirements, provided that all requirements have been met and course fees are paid in full.
