BHP WAIO VOC Assessments

Civil Safety is proud to be one of a select group of BHP-approved providers in Western Australia authorised to deliver Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments on behalf of BHP WAIO.

Our specialised VOC assessments are designed for contractors and workers mobilising to BHP sites, ensuring they meet BHP’s stringent safety and operational standards before commencing work.

What is a Verification of Competency (VOC)?

A Verification of Competency (VOC) is an assessment process used to confirm that an individual has the necessary skills and knowledge to safely operate specific machinery or perform high-risk tasks.

Who Needs a BHP WAIO VOC?

These assessments are essential for:

  • Contractors and employees mobilising to BHP’s Western Australia mine sites

  • Operators of specific machinery and equipment (e.g. excavators, forklifts, cranes, loaders)

  • Supervisors or site-based personnel needing evidence of current competency

How Much Does a BHP WAIO VOC Cost?

Our VOC’s start from just $295 for one VOC. If you require multiple VOC’s, you are eligible for a discount. Please contact us for more information.
