Course Funding

You may be eligible for Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funding. CSQ provide funding to support employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry​. No out-of-pocket costs are incurred if you qualify for (CSQ) Funding - please check your eligibility HERE. Unit/s and Certification

In total, you need to complete the 1 nationally recognised unit of competency. Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The SOA is issued upon successful completion within 2 business days provided that all entry requirements have been met and course fees or funding eligibility are paid in full. 

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course, we will require
  1. A clear copy of your drivers licence or photo identification;

To proceed with this course students will require:

  • Sufficient level of language, literacy and numeracy is required for students to be able to complete the required assessments;
  • Our courses can be accessed on any device with an internet connection, making it accessible to anyone with basic computer skills.
  • USI - It is a condition of enrolment in any nationally recognised training (accredited) programme that you supply the registered training organisation with a valid unique student identifier (USI).  If you don’t already have a USI, you can apply for one online at www.usi.gov.au. 

Support and Assessments

You may be required to complete a pre-enrolment Language, Literature and Numeracy assessment as part of the enrolment process. The pre-enrolment assessment assists in evaluating your suitability for the course and to tailor any required support services to meet your individual needs. If required, a representative from Civil Safety may contact you to discuss alternative options or available support services to assist you with your course.

During your studies, you will receive feedback after each assessment/assignment and the trainer/assessor will be available to discuss the feedback or provide additional assistance or direction as appropriate.

Assessment is based on competency (the ability to demonstrate specific skills), depending on delivery, may be undertaken through a combination of quizzes, observation and discussion, case studies and written assignments.
