The G7 course provides you with the knowledge and skills to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. You’ll learn how to identify hazards, assess risks, implement control measures, and promote a strong safety culture. The G7 course will teach you how to:
Interpret WHS legislation and standards across jurisdictions.
Apply the principles of ISO 45001 and mine-specific WHS Management System codes of practice.

The G7 - RIIWHS601E Establish and Maintain the WHS Management System course is designed for safety leaders and managers who are responsible for developing, implementing, and improving workplace health and safety systems. You can choose to complete the course either online or face-to-face at one of our training facilities.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however students will need:
Basic computer skills and internet access (for enrolment and online modules)
Adequate language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills to complete assessments, and;
A valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) - mandatory for all nationally recognised training. If you don't already have a USI, you can apply for one online at www.usi.gov.au or we can apply for one for you.

The G7 Establish and Maintain the WHS Management System course fee varies by study option. The self-paced, online course is $1,500, and the 4-day face-to-face program is $2,990. Flexible payment options, including Afterpay, are also available.

This depends on the study option you choose. The online course is self-paced and takes approximately 1-8 weeks (depending on your experience level and the amount of time you can allocate to your study and assessments). If you choose the face-to-face course, you will complete this over 4 consecutive days at one of our training facilities.
The G7 - RIIWHS601E Establish and Maintain the WHS Management System course itself does not expire, as it is a nationally recognised unit of competency. Once you successfully complete it, you are issued a Statement of Attainment, which remains valid indefinitely.
However:
Some employers or mining sites may require refresher training or re-assessment every 2-5 years to ensure your knowledge is up to date with current legislation and site procedures.
There are no formal entry requirements. However, students will need:
Basic computer skills and internet access (for enrolment and communication)
Sufficient language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills to complete assessments
A valid Unique Student Identifier (USI). If you don’t have one, you can apply at usi.gov.au or we can assist.
Your SOA will be issued within 3-5 business days of successfully completing the course and receiving payment.
