This combined course is designed to build your capability to work safely and confidently on construction and high-risk worksites. By completing three nationally recognised units in one streamlined course, you'll develop the practical skills and knowledge required to meet workplace health and safety requirements and safely perform work at heights across a range of industries.
Throughout the training, you'll work through realistic workplace scenarios that reflect the conditions you'll encounter on site. The course focuses on identifying hazards, applying safe work practices, using fall protection equipment correctly, and complying with workplace procedures and legislative requirements to help keep yourself and others safe.
You'll learn how to:
Apply workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures before commencing work
Work safely at heights by selecting, inspecting, fitting, and using fall protection equipment correctly
Safely access, undertake, and complete work at heights in accordance with workplace procedures

This bundled course provides a comprehensive foundation in construction safety and working at heights, helping you develop practical, job-ready skills while completing three essential nationally recognised units in a single day. In order to provide you with the best learning outcomes possible, this course is delivered via a mix of online learning and face-to-face training. You will be assigned an experienced Trainer Assessor for support throughout your course.
The online modules are self-paced and include assessments (quizzes, written tasks, or short exercises) to ensure understanding.
Your trainer will give you practical tasks to complete based on the information you’ve learned in your online theory module.
You will need to pass both steps in order to successfully complete the course.

Completing this combined Construction Safety and Working at Heights course provides you with the essential skills and nationally recognised training required to work safely across a wide range of construction and high-risk industries. Construction and Civil Infrastructure: Construction labourer, civil construction worker, infrastructure worker, general construction worker and trades assistant.
Mining and Resources: Mine worker, maintenance crew member, shutdown and turnaround worker, processing plant worker and site services personnel.
Maintenance and Industrial Services: Maintenance technician, facilities maintenance worker, industrial services worker, plant operator support and contractor personnel working at heights.

There are no formal entry requirements; however, students will need:
To be at least 16 years of age
Basic computer skills and internet access (for enrolment and communication)
Sufficient language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills to complete assessments
A valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) - mandatory for all nationally recognised training. If you don’t have one, you can apply at usi.gov.au or we can assist.

Eligible workers, employers, and job seekers in Queensland’s building and construction industry can save up to 75-100% on courses, including short courses, units of competency, and Certificate or Diploma qualifications.
