The G3 - RIIRIS601E course is designed for experienced workers in mining and high-risk industries who are responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing risk management systems.

You can choose to complete the course either online or face-to-face at one of our training facilities. Learning is practical and outcomes-focused, ensuring you can confidently apply legislation, frameworks, and leadership strategies to manage risk effectively in the workplace.

You have 180 days from enrolment to complete your training, giving you the flexibility to fit your study around work and personal commitments.

What You'll Learn

The G3 course will teach you how to:

  • Interpret and apply WHS and mining-specific legislation across jurisdictions.
  • Structure and lead the development of Risk Management Systems (RMS), Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) or Mine Safety Management System (MSMS) frameworks.
  • Establish site-specific Principal Hazard Management Plans (PHMP).
  • Implement risk processes.
  • Lead risk consultation, delegation, and supervision across departments and contractors.
  • Monitor risk performance using leading and lagging indicators and incident data.
  • Respond to site changes, critical events, and regulatory requirements through systematic reviews.
  • Document and defend risk decisions under legal scrutiny.

Course Outcome
