The theory component of the course is delivered online, and you will also need to attend face-to-face training sessions to learn hands-on, practical skills. What You’ll Study

The Certificate IV in Civil Construction is a nationally recognised qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). On successful completion, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment for the following 12 accredited units of competency.

  • BSBWHS411 - Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements

  • RIICWM401E - Supervise civil works

  • RIIRIS401E - Apply site risk management system

Elective Units - Select Seven (7)*
  • BSBHRM413 - Support the learning and development of teams and individuals

  • BSBPEF402 - Develop personal work priorities

  • RIIGOV401E - Apply, monitor and report on compliance systems

  • RIIQUA401E - Apply a quality management system on site

  • RIISAM401E - Apply site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance management plans

  • RIICWM402E - Supervise civil works contractors

  • RIIWHS401E - Supervise work in confined spaces

Upon completion, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment within 30 days.

  • basic computer skills and access to the internet

  • sufficient language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills to complete assessments, and;

  • a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) - mandatory for all nationally recognised training. If you don't already have a USI, you can apply for one online at www.usi.gov.au or we can apply for one for you.
