The combined Issue Work Permits + Hazard Analysis course provides you with the practical skills and knowledge to identify hazards, assess risks, and control work activities before they begin. You’ll develop the skills required to issue work permits in accordance with workplace procedures and conduct hazard analysis to help ensure work is planned and performed safely.

You’ll learn about:

Issuing Work Permits

  • Understand the purpose and requirements of workplace work permits.

  • Identify work activities that require a permit before work commences.

  • Review work scopes, hazards, risks, and required control measures.

  • Check that appropriate safety precautions and controls are in place before issuing a permit.

  • Communicate permit requirements and conditions to workers and other relevant personnel.

  • Monitor permit conditions and follow workplace procedures for changes, suspension, and completion of permits.

Conducting Hazard Analysis

  • Identify hazards associated with workplace activities and tasks.
