The Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation (PUAFER005) and Lead an Emergency Control Organisation (PUAFER006) combined course delivers the essential skills and knowledge required to both support and lead workplace emergency response activities. It covers the full scope of Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) responsibilities, from carrying out assigned roles during incidents through to coordinating and directing emergency procedures as an Emergency Controller or Chief Warden.
Participants will learn how to recognise and assess emergency situations, respond in line with workplace procedures, and communicate clearly under pressure. The course develops practical capability in assisting with evacuations, supporting team members, and taking control of emergency responses to ensure safe, timely, and compliant outcomes.
