The Operate as Part of an Emergency Control Organisation (PUAFER005) and Contain Small Emergencies in a Facility (PUAFER008) combined course provides the essential practical skills and knowledge required to respond quickly, safely, and effectively to workplace emergencies. Through hands-on, scenario-based training, participants will learn how to identify hazards, assess risks, recognise emergency situations, and carry out assigned emergency roles with confidence. The course also develops the capability to communicate clearly under pressure, support the Emergency Controller, and implement correct safety procedures to protect people, property, and operations.
This nationally recognised training is ideal for workers in construction, industrial, commercial, maintenance, and other high-risk environments who are required to act as part of a workplace emergency response team. By the end of the course, participants will be confident in their ability to respond calmly, contain small emergencies safely, and meet workplace health and safety requirements.
