If you already hold the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent), we want to hear from you. We have full-time, casual, and contract opportunities across Queensland and Western Australia.

Established in 2011, Civil Safety is a leading Registered Training Organisation for the mining, civil construction, construction, and primary industries, with operations across Queensland and Western Australia.

We deliver flexible training through face-to-face, blended learning, online, and refresher programs, operating from 17+ training facilities across Australia.

As an Industry Trainer, you will play a key role in delivering engaging training programs to individuals and organisations across various industries.

Industry Trainer / Assessor – Multiple
Location: Various (training delivered across Queensland and WA)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct training sessions on a range of safety and industry topics.

  • Develop and update training materials to ensure relevance and compliance.

  • Facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to stay current on industry trends.

  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills

If you are a qualified trainer/assessor:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/40122 or equivalent).

  • 5+ years’ industry experience in leadership or training roles.

  • Current driver’s license and reliable transport to job sites.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant industry practices.

  • Proven ability to deliver practical, engaging training.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including technology proficiency.

  • Commitment to quality assurance and safety management.

  • Experience in designing, developing, and delivering training aligned with Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) standards.

If you have industry experience but no TAE qualification:

  • Strong industry expertise in mining, construction, civil, or primary industries.

  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.

  • Opportunity to pursue professional development and guidance towards formal TAE qualifications (optional, supported by Civil Safety).

Training Locations

Civil Safety has an extensive training network across Queensland and Western Australia, with over 17 locations and growing.

In QLD our operations extend from the Gold Coast to the Cape, and in WA from Bunbury and Perth to Newman in the north.
