Civil Safety Further Expands WA Footprint with New Newman Training Facility

Civil Safety is proud to announce the opening of a new training location in Newman, Western Australia, further strengthening our presence across the state and reinforcing our commitment to supporting high-risk industries in regional WA.

The Newman location marks another strategic step in Civil Safety’s ongoing expansion throughout Western Australia, enabling easier access to locally delivered, nationally recognised safety and high-risk work courses for workers in mining, construction, infrastructure, and heavy industry.

Located in the heart of the Pilbara, the new site has been established to meet growing demand from local employers and contractors seeking on-site and face-to-face training, including high-risk work licencing, plant and machinery tickets, safety, induction, and many other types of courses - without the need for long-distance travel.

Supporting Regional and Remote Workforces

Western Australia’s regional workforce plays a critical role in the state’s economy, particularly across mining and resources. By expanding into Newman, Civil Safety aims to make practical, job-relevant training more accessible to workers operating in some of Australia’s most demanding environments.

“Our goal has always been to meet industry where it operates,” said Robert Kerridge, CEO of Civil Safety.

“Opening in Newman allows us to deliver key safety and high-risk work courses locally, while maintaining the same quality, consistency, and compliance standards we’re known for across WA. It’s about making training more accessible and relevant for the Pilbara workforce.”

Growing Presence Across Western Australia

The Newman location adds to Civil Safety’s growing WA footprint, reflecting increased demand for trusted Registered Training Organisations that understand the realities of site-based work. With experienced trainers and industry-aligned course delivery, Civil Safety continues to invest in locations that provide real value to both workers and employers.

“Our expansion across WA is a direct response to industry needs,” Kerridge added.

“By delivering critical courses closer to where people live and work, we’re helping employers reduce downtime and ensuring workers can gain and maintain the qualifications they need.”

Looking Ahead

Civil Safety’s expansion into Newman underscores the organisation’s commitment to regional Australia and to supporting industries beyond metropolitan centres. As demand for skilled, safety-conscious workers accelerates across priority and emerging industries, Civil Safety remains focused on delivering consistent, high-quality training across multiple course areas, targeted to where workforce needs are greatest.
