Rigging Intermediate - VOC

The Rigging Intermediate – VOC course is delivered online, with assessment based on the verification of required knowledge and understanding. Participants complete structured online learning and assessment activities designed to evaluate their knowledge of intermediate rigging practices, lifting operations, workplace requirements, and relevant compliance obligations.

Assessment outcomes are determined through online assessment methods, ensuring participants demonstrate an understanding of the skills and knowledge required to support safe and compliant intermediate rigging activities, including intermediate rigging techniques, lifting equipment selection and inspection, load handling, hazard identification and control, communication with crane operators and work teams, and legislative responsibilities.

This Verification of Competency (VOC) is designed for experienced intermediate rigging personnel who need to verify their knowledge and understanding to satisfy employer, client, or site-specific competency requirements. It is suitable for personnel working across a range of industries, including:

• Construction and Civil – Riggers involved in intermediate lifting operations, structural installations, complex material handling, infrastructure projects, and construction activities requiring intermediate rigging skills and safe coordination of lifting operations.

• Mining and Resources – Personnel involved in intermediate lifting and rigging activities on mine sites, including equipment movement, maintenance support, shutdowns, and operational lifting activities requiring intermediate rigging competency.

• Quarrying and Earthmoving – Workers supporting lifting operations involving plant, equipment, materials, and site infrastructure within quarrying and earthmoving environments requiring intermediate rigging knowledge and skills.
