Course Delivery and Assessment

The Certificate III in Scaffolding is delivered face-to-face, providing a practical and hands-on learning experience designed to prepare you for work in the high-risk scaffolding and construction environment. Under the guidance of experienced trainers, you’ll participate in practical training activities that reflect real workplace conditions on construction and industrial sites. You have 12 months to complete the course.

Assessment is competency-based, meaning you’ll be evaluated on your ability to perform tasks and apply knowledge in realistic workplace scenarios. This includes:

• Practical demonstrations of scaffolding skills, erection and dismantling procedures, and safe work practices
• Observation of tasks in simulated or real construction environments
• Written assessments to confirm your understanding of key concepts, including WHS requirements and regulatory compliance

This practical training approach ensures you gain both the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to work safely and effectively in scaffolding roles, while building the capability required for construction and industrial site environments.

What You’ll Study

The Certificate III in Scaffolding is a nationally recognised qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). On successful completion, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment for the following 14 accredited units of competency.
