G189 Mining Supervisor F2F - Refresher

Upon successful completion of this refresher course, you will be awarded a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following 3 units of competency:

• RIIRIS301E - Apply Risk Management Processes (G1)

• RIIWHS301E - Conduct Safety and Health Investigations (G8)

• RIICOM301E - Communicate Information (G9)

This certification is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and can support applications for higher roles in safety and compliance.

• Construction: Site supervisors, foremen, and project managers overseeing building projects.

• Resources: Mining supervisors and team leaders in coal, metalliferous, and extractive industries.

• Infrastructure: Supervisors managing civil works, utilities, and telecommunications projects.

• Maintenance: Maintenance supervisors and coordinators in building, facility, or plant operations.

• Specialised Roles: Safety officers, operations coordinators, and supervisors responsible for high-risk work management.

To enrol in this refresher course, students must:

• Have successfully completed the G189/S123 Mining Supervisor course within the last 5 years.

• Be at least 15 years of age.

• Have sufficient language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills to complete assessments.

• Hold a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) - mandatory for all nationally recognised training. If you don't already have a USI, you can apply for one online at www.usi.gov.au or we can apply for one for you.

Students must provide the following evidence:

• A clear copy of your driver's licence or other photo identification.

• A Statement of Attainment issued by an RTO confirming successful completion of the G189/S123 Mining Supervisors course.

Note: Wallet cards will not be accepted unless they meet AQF requirements for an accredited Statement of Attainment.

Important Information:

• To avoid delay in processing and issuing your Statement of Attainment, please ensure payment or a company purchase order is provided at enrolment.

• If you are submitting a USI transcript, it must include a QR verification code.

• Students must attend the full 1-day face-to-face refresher training session and successfully complete all required assessment activities to achieve competency.

• If the student does not meet the refresher eligibility requirements and is required to complete the full course, an additional assessment fee will apply for the practical training and assessment component. This can be delivered at any of our training facilities across Australia.

Our trainers are dedicated to helping you succeed and will be available throughout the course to answer your questions, provide feedback, and support your learning.
