The Confined Spaces & Working at Heights Combined Course (RIIWHS202E & RIIWHS204E) brings together two essential nationally recognised safety units into one streamlined training program. This course is designed for workers who operate in high-risk environments where working at height or entering confined spaces is part of the job.
Delivered through a blend of online learning and practical, face-to-face training, this course equips participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to identify hazards, manage risks, and work safely in accordance with current WHS legislation and site requirements. This combined course is ideal for workers looking to meet site compliance, improve safety outcomes, and build confidence when working in challenging conditions.

Course Overview
This combined course provides the essential skills and knowledge required to safely work at heights and in confined spaces across construction, civil, mining, and industrial environments. You’ll learn how to:
By the end of the course, you’ll be confident in working in confined spaces and also at heights, and applying safe work practices in compliance with workplace regulations.
In order to provide you with the best learning outcomes possible, this course is delivered via a mix of online learning and face-to-face training. You will be assigned an experienced Trainer Assessor for support throughout your course.
Step 1 - Complete theory module online (within 30 days)
The online modules are self-paced and include assessments (quizzes, written tasks, or short scenario-based exercises) to ensure understanding.
Step 2 - Attend 1 day face-to-face training (appx 4-6 hours)
Your trainer will give you practical tasks to complete based on the information you’ve learned in your online theory module.
You will need to pass both steps in order to successfully complete the course.
