Gas test atmospheres



This unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to test the working atmosphere, using electronic test apparatus, to find out if it is safe for the proposed work.

Issue work permits - cluster


This course covers the skills and knowledge required to work in accordance with an issued permit and to issue work permits. 

Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level


This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely perform basic scaffolding work.

Licence to operate a forklift truck



This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Competence in this unit does not in itself result in an HRWL licence to operate this plant.

Licence to operate a vehicle loading crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and above)


This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a vehicle loading crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) of 10-metre tonnes or more. Competence in this unit does not in itself result in a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant.

Licence to perform dogging


This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely perform dogging work. Dogging consists of the application of slinging techniques to move a load, including the selection and inspection of lifting gear, and the directing of a plant operator in the movement of a load when the load is out of sight of the operator.

Licence to perform rigging intermediate level


This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform rigging work at the intermediate level, which includes all the outcomes for rigging work at the basic level, and also includes rigging of cranes, rigging of conveyors, rigging of dredges and excavators, rigging associated with tilt slabs, rigging associated with demolition work, and dual lifts for licensing purposes.

Operate breathing apparatus



This unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain breathing apparatus and equipment in an irrespirable atmosphere, as defined by the Australian Standard AS/NZS 1715:2009 Selection, use and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment.

Operate elevating work platform


This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate an elevating work platform at any height.

Perform basic rigging


This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform basic rigging, including planning for rigging, preparing rigging equipment and moving loads.

Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (WHITE CARD)


Candidates who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment and a White Card licence (QLD issued). This course is nationally recognised throughout all states in Australia.

Work safely at heights


This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to work safely on construction sites where the worker has the potential to fall from one level to another.

Establish legal and risk management requirements of new business ventures


QBCC Managerial Course

This course is a requirement to obtain a QBCC Trade Contractors Licence. This course describes the skills and knowledge required to identify and comply with legal and risk management requirements of the business or new business venture.
